X-TourMD vs Oil Can Spin Milled

Recently got an offer to dump both my smt durometer's for 1 new wedge. I only use 1 wedge and it would definately be 58*. So looking for opinions on what everyone thinks. Did some searching and didn't really find a comparison type thread so i figured i'd make one. Peformance is my main thing, yes the oil can looks insanely nice but if the x-tour spins more/controls better I'll go with the cally. Any info is appreciated, thanks.

Both will spin the heck out of the ball, both will tear up golf balls on full swings.

 

Go with which one fits your eye and game the best. Vokeys have a low and hihg bounce model and the Callaway has the option of the PM grind.

 

Can't go wrong either way.

Vokey had gone down hill IMO. For some reason Bob decided to make them smaller than before. Explain to me why. Don't get me wrong I love the M grind but the new SM's are smaller and just look funny. Look more like the old Cleveland 485's.

 

The X tours look just like the old Cleveland 588's. They are forged, and Raw. What is better than that? I have the PM grind and the regular grind. THe reg grind is much better but the MD grooves are spinners.

 

Cant go wrong with either but i think from a visual aspect the X tours win out in a huge way.

Go with the MD with the PM grind, I think it's much better than the Vokey SM. It spins like crazy! But it'll sure shred a golf ball though.

im leaning towards the Sm oil can actually. Basically it seems like the spin is around the same level and it comes down to preference...i LOVE the oil can look/feel so it kinda makes sense to go with the Spin Milled.

Why give up on your Durometers?? Oh yeah, how do you like the cb1's? I had a set of cb2's, but I just it seemed like I lost too much yardage due to the weak (or standard from years ago) lofts. Loved the spin though. Hit a nice high 4 iron into a dry green bounce, bounce, brakes. Nice!!

durometers have a pretty wide sole and its giving me some problems. I love my cb1's and i think theyre awesome...milled faces,sharp grooves for 250...siick

Go with the Spin milleds.....I just was in the same situation and after some testing the spin milleds are definitley better....
