I hate these 'why did my ad get deleted' topics. And I really don't care that the one I am writing about got deleted because the club was already sold. However, I'm bored this morning so here we go.

 

Two days ago I posted a new Cleveland DST 10.5* driver w/ Diamana Whiteboard 64 X-flex for sale and sold it. Yesterday, after the 24 hour window for posting new ads was up, I listed a new Cleveland DST Tour 10.5* driver w/ Diamana Whiteboard 64 X-Flex for sale.

 

Now I knew this might cause some confusion for the moderators. So at the beginning of the for sale ad for the Tour model I posted that this was a different club than the one I sold the day before. I pointed out the differences that were visible in the photos, and the photos were also completely different. I hoped this would avoid any confusion not only to the moderators but to the general membership as well.

 

I wake up this morning only to find that the new ad for the Cleveland DST Tour was gone and the original ad for the regular version was reopened. So now I had an ad opened for a driver that was already sold and shipped and the new ad is the trash can. I've already sold both of the clubs so its really a moot point but as I mentioned, I'm bored at work and have nothing better to do and didn't want to sulk all morning.

 

I'm not going to get into posting photos and point out specific differences. The text on the face stickers should have been enough for anyone to differentiate the two clubs. Not to mention my disclaimer at the beginning of the for sale ad.

 

I wouldn't even have posted this thread but I've actually had this happen before. When you have a problem ho'ing clubs like I do its not totally uncommon to end up with two clubs that are very similar if not identical(although in this case the two clubs are clearly different). Hell I've bought clubs back from people I've sold them to several times in the past.

 

I'm sick but I still try to follow the rules.

I didn't delete your ad and don't know who did.

That being said, we moderate hundreds if not thousands of topics and posts each day and mistakes do happen...unfortunately.

Anyway, I locked and moved your DST Tour ad to the FS Archives for reference purposes.
