my thoughts on the differences

Just switched to Cally iz from ProV1x. It was tough to drop the ProV1x. Except for 2-3 rounds I've used it since it came on the market. Both are very nice balls, but I think the iz is better for me. My thoughts on both. FWIW, I have a 112 MPH driver swing speed and am slightly better than scratch.

Much, much straighter
Wedges didn't spin too much, which the Prov1x does for me
FANTASTIC durability
Better in the wind

The ProV1x -
Probably 5 yards longer off the tee
Softer feel on long putts (iz gets ckicky outside of 25 feet)
Much better feel pitching inside 30 yards

My results are similar to yours, except that I found the iz to be about 5 yards longer than anything else. I would put the Pro V1X second in distance, and do prefer them on some days when I'd like a little more spin.

I've traded balls with many people I've played with at my club and can't say enough good about the Callaway Tour iZ. Great ball.

Tour Iz is a great wind ball , flies at a lower trajectory , very striaght and longer than any ball . Unfortunately the clicky feel of the putter is an annoyance .
Also Prov1x chips much better than Tour Iz .

Agree with all about the straightness and stability in the wind.

It was @5+ for me off of the tee from the V1x.

Compared to the ix, the iz is a little softer in the cover which adds to the durability, and just the right amount of spin.
I too am annoyed by the 'clickiness', the ix did not have this. I think it was intentional for those that use insert putters, like many of their Odyssey/Callaway endorsers. I hope next go round they get rid of the click, other than that the ball is one of the best.

Thinking of picking up some closeout B330-S as they are about as good without the click.

Are the ix's the equivalent to the tour i?

I had my first go at a IZ today and I must say i wasnt very happy. My Jaws wedge with MD grooves took that thing apart. I am starting to think that only the softer balls can survive the MD grooves.
