Help with Irons

I have 3 choices narrowed down. X-18 Pro series, X-Tour andf J33 CB out of these irons which ones would you choos and why. I really like forged but the x-18 pro look really good also.I am a 15 capper with decent ball striking ability. I probably loos 5-8 strokes a round from 100 yards and in

I would say go with the X-Tours if you like a forged iron. The 360° undercut will make them forgiving for you and will give you that solid feel when hitting it well. From the irons you have listed they make the most snese for your handicap, forged with a lot of forgiveness.

Are you having a lot of short shots because you miss alot greens?

The J33cbs are pretty demanding on mishits and you will lose significant amounts of distance compared to the other two. I much prefer the feel and smaller sole of the j33cbs compared to the other two. If you tend to hit fat shots, the wider sole of the callaway irons should work better for you. If you are comfortable with the look of the x-18s at address, i would recommend those

At a 15 the X-18 PS may be the best bet. The J33 CB are going to be be too demanding, and likely a mistake if purchased.

 

THe X-Tours may be OK, but I would think you'll be better off with the X-18 PS. Compared to the X-18 I like the Nike NDS a lot better. It is half the price of the X-18 PS, and does everything they do. The NDS even looks better from address. Look into them if they have them in a local shop. :drinks:
