Need help choosing Irons

Please help

I am haveing a hard time figureing out what I rons to get My choices are Callaway X-Tours, Callaway X-18 Pro Series, Bridgestone J33 CB,and Nike Pro Combo Tours. I will also accompany the irons with the same make driver help would be well appreciated.

I never tried the Callaway and Nike irons you mentioned but I own the Bridgestone J33 CBs and will probably use these for a long time. They have everything I'm looking for in an iron - minimal offset, compact head, soft yet solid forged cb, simple design and some forgiveness. They are probably less forgiving than the X Tours and X-18 Pros.

If you want the matching driver, the Bridgestone J33R 460 driver is also one solid and long driver, I used it for awhile but have now replaced it with the MacGregor MacTec NVG2 driver, which IMO is more accurate and forgiving and just as long.

As you can see by my sig... the PC Tours would be my choice. But first, a few questions for you. How good is your ball striking? Do you take much of a divot, or are you a sweeper of the golf ball? What ball flight do you prefer, and what is your current ball flight? And what irons do you have now, and what flex shaft?

Before anyone can give you any advice worth having, we would have to know how you golf? how you work the ball? how is your ballstriking? what is your ball flight? what is your desired ball flight? what irons you're playing now? what flex shafts?

It would be impossible to answer your question, cold, without knowing anything about your game.

Also, just curious, why would your choice in irons effect your choice in driver? FYI: Due to the myriad choices, chances are the best driver for you may not be the same brand as the best irons for you!
