r7 tp tour problem

does the r7 shallow tp tour issued head typically sit open at address or does the original r7 quad non tp sit more closed than usual? i have both an r7 shallow tp tour w/ diamana blue board stiff pured frequencied at 251 cycles and a r7 quad non tp w/ speeder 652 stiff pured frequencied at 258 cycles. I hit the speeder one fine but i seem to have issues with the tour issued tp w/ diamana (it's almost a block out to the right). I seem to have to work really hard to hit the tp version good. any suggestions?

You could check the weights...... They MAY be configured differently.... :man_in_love:

IMO, the shaft you have in the tour is the hold up..... The Diamana is a little more stout and has a much higher kick point than the 652. Thus, the 652 will be easier to turn over. Even though the Cpms say the 652 will be stiffer, the two shafts have very different characteristics. Also Tour drivers tend to be a bit more fade biased than retail sometimes.....

that's what i thought also!!! I could feel that the tip was very firm in the diamana compared to the 652. Is there a way to soften the tip up a little? also, is it possible, or smart, to bend driver heads? does going from a .25 degree open to a .25 degree close really make a great deal of difference? thanks

IIRC, the only way to soften the tip without reshafting it would be to increase the swingweight. As for bending driver heads, it shouln't be a huge deal as it's only going to be a .5*, but you mess with the loft as well as ballflight tendencies when you do it, no matter how minutely.
