Im not doubting that its a fake. But I fwd this to MRC after I purchased mine and provided the sellers id and all that. I havent seen many fake Alphas.. so how is this still ongoing?

When I spoke to MRC rep, he stated that the fake Alphas are starting to pop up.

I got a refund as well. He said he was having too many issues so he stopped the post. I don't know the specs but curious on how it works...If there was a sticker, would we question it??

As I stated before, Ive had numerous "real" Alphas that I bought from Ken or other certified deealers. I ended with one of these as the story made sense and it was only like $50. After getting it the graphics looked a little off and as stated in the ad there were no stickers. As these were labeled rejects, it made sense. Unfortunately, like many wrxers I buy something, hit it, sell it, the turn around and buy it again. So I didn't have an authentic to line it up against. However there was no etching... but there isnt any on my Ax (from Ken) .

Regardless I tipped it up and it feels like a tighter tour (I have a 63 tour that I compared it against) The only difference between the two are the grips.

But based off more experienced people here, I shot MRC an email asked them about it. Never heard anything back, but the guys ads did stop. Well seen them pop back up, but still seems weird that he is the only one selling obvious fakes. I know Scotty and Titleist cant stop all the fakes, but just baffles me that it seems to be an isolated seller. Nice guy as he seems.

Im torn, im not a fan of counterfeiting... so Ill probably shop around and get a certifiably authentic..

I agree with you that he is really nice. If your a typical golfer and not a Golfwrxer, I don't think you could tell. I couldn't tell either if it's fake or real but I do have a real Fubuki Tour and one noticeable difference is that the Tour felt smoother while you could feel the paint job of the Alpha.

I think you're all missing the point.

Sellers of shafts and other golf equipment are not conducting enough due diligence to ensure that what they're selling are not fakes. Their taking the word of their suppliers simply isn't good enough. Their selling us golf stuff at extremely cheap prices is not a reason for these sellers to not take extra steps to ensure the authenticity of what they sell.
