ok, my tour is of the nw of washington..but screw it..i'm my own tour van...i realized that i have played too long without offset to jump to the eye2 plus no pluses..shot ok with um..but missed a lot from short range..the offset was killing me...SOOOOO-oooo i jumped on ebay and also a thanks to viperhockey for a 250 set of old i3 blades...and found a set of s59's...perfect...they arrived today..pretty beat..but no dings etc...and i made them my bad Word not allowed satin...will show some pic's of how they were, what i did and how they finished....put px 6.0's in um and took the paintfill out...that you can't see..tomorrow ill decide if i want to go red, white and blue paintfill or leave um without..but anyway, check these out...my ping kick continues..

Those look sweet! I played a round with my s59 tours today and they are great clubs. I might do paintfills on them I havent decided. What didy you use?

ive done some work to my s59's w/ my buffer but cant seem to get it to stay or look the way yours did.......... insight please?

well you see the buffer i used..dark rouge first..and you got to do it till the metal is polished like chrome..sometimes it takes two to three times...then i buff it out on the big wheel with white rouge...this brings out the high gloss..the i3 set you see stayed like that like and polished set you'd buy...every so often if i wanted it to look brillant again..it took only seconds on the big wheel with the white to get it back...

 

i figure i've done two sets of s59's, 2 sets of i3's..some titleists, satinzed tm's..and these combo's...i'm not 100% if ill keep um this way or go the high polished route..i still kind of like that look too...for now..i'm done..i figure from getting them to finishing them today, i spent about 6 or 7 hours nearly straight on them..(that includes reshafting to proj. x's too)...

those look great. i want to "satinize" my rac MB/CB combo set eventually. what kind of grind or wheel did you use? but first i have to buy a grinder, hahaha. would just a regular bench grinder work?

first guy at the hardware store told me a regular one is fine..then an old guy came up..took me to the buffer i ended up getting and said.."don't listen to that fool, he's just wants a sale" the buffer was less then the grinder...( i have both by the way, so i can grind too)...the satin wheel looks like this..mine is getting chewed but that's ok..

To all others...be warned that this excellent job was done on stainless heads. The carbon steel head with the nickel/chrome finish may not give you the desired results. Try doing it on a 'junk' club for practice.

I have a small repair business in Boston so I have most of the tools already. I was wondering if you could tell me the procedure?

 

I have a 1/3 hp Baldor Buffer with the white stitch buffing wheel and 4 colors of compound. I started to use the black to begin the process but I was wondering how long do I use that before switching to the white? How do I ensure consistency over the entire clubhead? What do I need for the satin finish?

 

I want to try the high polish and the satin finishes. I have a set of i3+'s and s59 tours.
