easily scratched?

I know I've seen a thread on this before, but for the life of me I cant find it in this forum.
Has anyone else experienced your Nike SQ Max driver face showing unusually quicker ware than normal? I've played my SQ for about 7 rounds now and the face is starting to develop ware scratches on it like you'd see on an iron that's been used for years. I have a 983k that I used for 2 years that looks cleaner than my SQ.
Would this be something that Nike can offer a free replcaement for or does Nike not do that sort of thing.

My experience is exact opposite. I've noticed my face has stayed cleaner and I'm able to wipe away anything to verify ball contact.

I've also learned not to dump out range balls on the ground as they pick up dirt and cause face wear quicker.

i haven't noticed any unusual wear with my sq or sq tour.

i will agree with nikemike on the range balls. when i tee a ball period, range or on the course, i always just rub it with my hand as i am putting it on the tee. also, when at the range, as i am going through the bucket i always pick out the real good looking balls for the driver and make a pile. also pick out the really bad looking balls and save them for the wedges.

No problems here. You may just have defect or something. Do you have any pics that you could post so we could see the problem.

Do you hit a lot of range balls? Sandy/dirty range balls will kill the face of the driver and scratch it up.

Good repsonse! Spot on, and the same thing I do too. I have an SQ in the Classified section right now that has only seen a couple rounds and range sessions, but it has no face wear if you want to compare the pics to your club. I did not find that it showed wear easily, but I am careful about the balls I hit with the driver when practicing. On the course, I can't imagine why a ball would make a mark. Are you not cleaning your golf ball? Take a damp towel with and always clean your ball on course. (If not for the performance aspect, at least your clubs will still look good!)
