Leaving the Northeast (NJ) in August---Must Plays Before I go?

I'm leaving New Jersey permanently (I think) in August. Just wondering everyone's thoughts on public courses I must play before I leave the Garden State.

I'm willing to travel two hours in any direction from Cherry Hill, New Jersey (philly area)

Only "nice" courses I've played in the area are Broad Run, Glen Mills, Shore Gate and Twisted Dune. Hoping to make a run to Bethpage to play black and red sometime too.

Any other suggestions?

public--AC country club, sea view (bay & pine courses), architects, crystal springs, ballyowen, ballamor, blue heron, heron glen, galloping hill, neshanic valley, knob hill, hominy hill, charleston (north & south)....

if you have any friends that are members somewhere, try and get out at baltustrol, metedeconk, pine hill, trump (colts neck & bedminster), due process and pine valley. Also, if you have somebody that can get you out at pine valley, you should be able to get out at liberty national.

if you want to come up to bethpage and not have to sleep out and all that jazz, i'm happy to get you on with my group. anyone from the South Jerz is okay in my book.

Does the in-state rate apply to everyone in your foursome or just to those with NY IDs?

Not from South Jerz, but born and raised in Phila and now life in central NJ.

The in-state rate only applies to those with NYS ID's.

Ahhh, gotcha - this was the steal of the century when it was $45 a few years ago.

OP, if you can finagle your way onto any of the private courses you listed and would want to do a home and home swap (I'm a member at Philly Cricket) then gimme a holler.

[color=#1C2837][size=2]yeah, but goes without saying that it's still an amazing deal. $75 on weekends, when pretty much anything else in the metropolitan area that can even breathe the same air is pushing $100 if not much, much more. we pay $70 to $90 sometimes to play courses that couldn't hold the Black (or the Red's) jock. i wake up every day very thankful for Bethpage. Marrk-- definitely will take you up on that offer. Is it impossible to play black on a weekend? Is that when y'all play? I don't know if I'd ever be able to get up there on a weekday.

i pretty much only play weekends too. getting on isn't the easiest thing ever. can take a crap ton of phone calls, but we usually make out alright. just gotta keep trying. sundays are easier than saturdays, and afternoons easier than mornings. keep me posted. let me know if there's a day you're thinking about coming up.
