Ping K15 + UST Mamiya Proforce V2 Tour Flight Wood Shaft

Need advice please
Hey guys

Currently game a K15 with stock TFC stock with regular flex. The K15 truly is a fairway finder. However, my problem is that my k15 seems to fly too high. Has anyone tried the K15 with a UST Mamiya Proforce V2 Tour Flight Wood Shaft? Without any launch monitor testing, i'm worried, I might mess up the accuracy of the K15 by swapping shafts. I'm open to any suggestions and advice.

I haven't even seen/hit a k15, but I don't know how you could mess up your accuracy with the Tour Flight. I played it for a little while and it was a great shaft, it was in an older driver head so it wasn't my gamer but it was one of the more accurate shafts I have played. Of course if you get the flex/tipping wrong or the shaft doesn't fit your swing you may lose some of that consistency but it will definitely lower your launch and spin over he stock TFC.

+1. I've found the V2 TF to be a very accurate shaft that does a good job at keeping your ball flight down. For the price, it's hard to beat.

I got the Tour Flight shaft on closeout at Golfsmith for my 07' Burner. It has improved my driving tremendously and really brought my ball flight down. With the stock shaft the ball would balloon and I was all over the place. The V2 TF is a great shaft. I had it cut to 45".

Driver: Cleveland 588 Altitude 9*
3-wood: Acer XF 15*
Hybrids: Acer XF 22* & 25*
Irons: Maltby TE Forged 6-pw
Wedges: Acer XB Satin 52* & 56*
Putter: Golfmate Milled Series

Sir....I have tried the K15 with a UST TF in untipped X flex. You will not be sacrificing anything in the accuracy department. My only beef with the setup was that It did not feel heavy enough for me personally. I think it would be worth your while to order the shaft. What is your swing speed? you should be okay with an untipped S flex as long as you install it at stock length (45.75). You will get a lower trajectory and straighter flight.


The driver will swingweight too light if you cut it shorter. Ping Drivers normally SW to C9-C8 from the factory. Whatever you do please keep the length or it will feel like a tennis racket...
