I have been telling my friends about the cool app that I got for my GHIN handicap that has been making it easier for me to post my scores on my mobile phone and noticed that they have a Rec Handicap that is free as well for my buddies that dont want to join a mens or womens club and pay the fees. Several of my friends have now gotten it and have been really happy with it and they feel like it is a good starting point for getting a GHIN in the future. It doesnt offer stats or anything like that but does what I want it to real well. It uses the same formula as teh USGA but is free. I still feel like I can play for money with the guys who have the Rec Handicap since it is still a real number. The only downside is that it cant be used for tournaments at any of the state golf associations. None of my friends are playing in any state tournies anyways so that doesnt really matter to them. Its also good for my friends who dont play that much and just want to carry a handicap but not spend the money.



This is my second post about www.diablogolf.com. They seem to be doing the things that I need them to without all the bells and whistles that I dont really have time for anyways. Its been really strait forward and the guys I have met at the courses have been fun to play golf with so far. Anyways just thought I would throw this out there since it seems like there are a lot of guys on these forums looking for new things.
