Why are the new Adams idea pro hybrids so expensive?

I want to like Adams and I want to get the hybrid, but asking $249? And the new Titleist is $209.

Anyone out there have access to the new Idea Pro hybrid for less than $249?!

I think that's the Suggested Retail Price, they will probably be closer to the $209.

It's the stock shaft that makes it so expensive, the Aldila VS "By You".

make sure you at least demo this club - it is incredible. i have the 18, and it is heads and shoulders above the TM resual TP i have been playing for a few years. the shaft is quite excellent as well. the club is workable, but has no left tendency. i can hit it high, low, out of the rough, out of the sand - just a great club.

Expensively probably because it knows club ho's will go out and buy it. I'm saving ... starting now!

Um, maybe because it's absolutely incredible! I have the 19 with the Graf NT Comp shaft, and I just can't believe how sweet the club really is. Weight, balance, absolutely just right. I also agree that this club is fairly neutral....you can hit it right, left, high or low without any trouble. Paid $250 for mine although it's a "Tour Prototype" issue.

This new Hybrid from Adams is a proven winner on the 3 major tours. I don't think you'll be dissapointed with the results, you definitely get what you pay for!

I hit the 20* with the aldila vs by you shaft it felt awesome, the ball flew off the face shaft felt great. Was told it would sell at $199.99 This is one to look at for sure. Awesome.

When are these going to be showing up at retail? I did a quick check and there wasn't anything out there. Guess I'm out of the loop on this one.

They will be out on Sept. 15th at a price of $199.99. Not to mention the come stock with the VS Proto Hybrid shaft (a $100 shaft). It will be the BEST players hybrid on the retail market.

Adams has always been a club for the struggling player, I like to see that they are now starting to cater to the better golfer. It makes me want to go get a set

These are sweet hybrids. If you go with the set, I got mine for $749 which is 3 and 4 hybrid and 5-pw. The hybrids alone are $199. By that math, the two hybrids are $400 which means you are paying $349 for 5-pw. You won't find another set of premium irons 5-pw for less than $350. If you haven't tried these hybrids or the irons, they are the real deal, you will be impressed!

I bought the 3 and 4 for $199 each and returned them after 3 outings. I thought the older ones felt better and think there are several offerings that are just as good or better. I like my Taylor rescue mid more(I thought these would be an upgrade, but was let down) Waiting for spring to do a head-to-head with Titleist, these and the Taylor mid dual.
