Looking for Caddie Job in Central/Northern NJ

In need of temporary job for 2-3 months

I am not sure if this is in the correct forum, but I thought the regional forums were better for this type of question.

I would appreciate any help finding a Caddie Job in Central or Northern NJ for the next couple of months. I have been around the game of golf for about 10 years or so.

I am currently in medical school and will have approximately 3 months off and in desperate need of "everyday" money while I keep paying off interest on my loans. I am extremely motivated and willing to work long hours. I have tried using google but have been unsuccessful.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it very much. I am just trying to get some pocket money to get through the 3 months as I use savings to pay off loans.

There aren't a lot of clubs in the area w/ caddies. Only ones I can think of are Trump National in Colts neck, Due Process in colts neck, maybe Metedeconk, Deal CC and Hollywood, both in Deal (not sure if they have caddie programs), and Navesink. You can try Manasquan also. My suggestion is just to go to each, find the pro or personnel department, explain what you want to do, and see if there are some openings. Good luck.

Manasquan River, Trump National in Colts Neck, Metedeconk, Metuchen Country Club (i'm pretty sure)

Not sure about North Jersey, I'm from ocean county so that's all the places I know around me.

Check out the NJSGA website - njsga.org. They have a caddie scholarship program so I would think someone there can direct you which courses still have a caddie program.

Even if a club doesn't have an "official" caddie program, they may get players requesting caddie services. I know some courses in my area that use independent contractor caddies (not employed by the course). If you could find such an arrangement with a few courses, that may be enough to keep you busy/paid.

Get to the courses and let them know you're available.

If you are willing to drive to Morris or Essex counties, most of the private clubs have caddie programs, or at least they did as of 5-6 years ago when I last spent a lot of time around those courses. Sometimes you have to know the right person to get in (kind of like joining the club itself, lol) but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to call and ask for the caddiemaster, or just show up (dressed appropriately) and ask for him at a non-busy time.

In bergen county, i know Ridgewood, Arcola, White Beeches, Edgewood all have caddies
