Anybody ever have this happen

I just returned from a week long golf trip to Scotland. I use a club glove with a stiff arm to protect the clubs. When I unpacked my bag at home I noticed the head of the stiff arm had been unscrewed and placed on top of the clubs giving no protection. Luclily nothing was damaged. The head was screwed on tightly before I left so this happened on the return trip leaving me quite surprised. Has anyone else had this happen.

Every time I travel, my clubs are always rearranged in the bag differently than how I put them in.

The TSA must dump the whole bag out and then they always leave me their calling card in the travel bag.

Not exactly the same but a few years ago I was traveling in Asia with my clubs in a "Bullitt" soft travel bag........I got them at the luggage carousel and all was well.......when we got to the hotel and unlocked the bag I found a note inside from some airport security person saying that my bag had been unlocked and searched as part of a security check. All was well....just a bit strange.

That just means that TSA searched your bag... I believe they have to let you know if they do. I've seen it in my regular suitcases before, too.

I think they check golf bags everytime. I have flown my clubs at least a dozen times and I always find their calling card.

I noticed on my most recent 'return trip' that my clubs had not been checked, or at least if they did then there wasn't a slip saying so. Thought it was strange, because I thought golf clubs were automatically flagged for inspection.

I did not play that course. We played Jubilee, The Old Course, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, and Turnberry. Carnoustie is the hardest golf course I have ever played and the most visually intimidating.

did you like the Jubilee course better than the Old Course? if you take the history away from the Old Course, we felt Jubilee was actually better.

Carnoustie IS visually intimidating. We didn't get to play it as the Open was being held there when we were visiting. I would have loved it!
