r7 & r5 TP Weights and Wrench

The Same?

Was looking at an r5 TP but it does not incl. the extra weights or wrench. Will the weights from the r7 work in the r5 TP? Also, is the TM wrench necessary or is there an after market alternative. Noticed TM charges $50 for the wrench :vava: Thanks!

As far as I know all weights are the same and should interchange with no problem. If you dont want to buy the wrench just pick up a torx bit (size?) and turn the screws in. You could use a torque wrench to get the correct FT LB of torque, but just good and snug should be fine. Most of the vans use a cordless drill. I am sure it doesnt have to be spot on, just dont over tighten it. The wrench isnt a bad idea though if you can find one cheap. Makes life a bit easier. G :vava:

I bought a new Rescue Dual and it came with 2 extra 8 gram weights and a little booklet on switching weights, as well as the 2 and 14 gram fitted as standard. If you want to mess around with the weights, most pro-shops should be able to loan you one to use on the range, and once you find your preferred configuration you should not need to move them around too much anyway. The same kit comes with the R7 TP fairway wood.

I spent $3.00 for a star-screwdriver, Pro Series T25, at the local hardwares store and it works just fine! Why pay $39.99 or even $29.00 for the wrench.
