4 month old swing - pls critique!

Hey guys,

I've picked up golf for only a few months (June 17th, 2011!). I broke 100 for the first time in September and broke 90 for the first (and only) time (89!) a few weeks ago but I feel my progress is slowing down quickly. I'm consistently breaking 100 and I pray for good putting days as those help me the most. I think my problem spot is with iron accuracy that begs my short game to be good just to make bogey or par. I've been practicing my short game mostly so that has helped me break 100 consistently.

don't stand so far from the ball. makes your backswing begin really flat and around, then it's easy to go across the line at the top, end up swinging on your toes...etc.

make sure your shoulders are parallel to your target. they look like they're pointing left. but that could be the camera angle....

which is the next point...
need a face on view of your swing.
need the down-the-line shot to be around halfway between the ball and your feet, not outside the ball and looking at a different direction than you're aiming.

I think you should just mainly work on you set-up first then it'll be a lot easier to build a good swing. As one of the above posters mentioned you're probably standing too far away from the ball, try to get yourself in a position where you are not too far hunched over and your arms are hanging straight down and are not tensed up (which is evident in your current swing). Also your shoulder alignment seems to be a little off so make sure thats correct.
Second of all as far as I can see your grip is a little strong although I can't tell for sure unless you give a face-on video. Changing your grip is going to be hard at first but will really help you in the long term. You should go to an instructor or look up videos on YouTube about this (although I highly recommend going to an instructor!!!)
