Miura K-Grind

Opinions on this wedge

Trying to choose between Miura C-Grind or K-Grind....need your advice. Some fantastic GolfWRX folks (thank you) have already chimed in, but I want a few more opinions.

Which club fits my game better:

- 8HC, good ballstriker
- Driver/digger
- Which is better out of the sand
- Will be using ALL around the green so versatility is key

I'm looking for a 55* (a 56 could be bent to a 55*)

What is your vote the C or the K?

I have a K bent to 58* and my friend has a K bent to 54*. It is easily the best wedge I've ever used out of a bunker. For those that know my WITB through the years, that's a big thing for me to say considering the amount of custom/tour/proto wedges that have gone through my bag. For me...1* of loft is nothing I'll notice. If you press your hands just a bit forward you'll be 1* lower and same if you open it up a tad bit.

The K has been effective for me from all types of lies. Hardpan, thick grass, soft and firm sand. The trailing edge if you could call it that and heel grind are excellent for opening up and flopping. I can be aggressive with it and not dig as I've found using some other wedges with thinner soles.

Only after 3 of my friends picked up a K grind did I finally break down and demo one. I had been a firm believer in my old trusty Chikara Proto Type 57* until I tried the K. I've absolutely never been so good out of the sand since adding the K. Its truly been a miracle wedge for my bunker play.

i use my K in some diferent lies but into the sand is where it performs better. I also have 2 standard Miura wedges, a 52 and a 60. Pay attention to the shaft to be fitted in, thats the most critical part in my opinion. I fitted an NS950 and it works fine for me.

In other hand the K has a very cute shape and wears so so so good.

Interesting you mentioned the importance of shaft selection. I couldn't agree with you more.

I demoed a 55* & 59* C-grind this week that both have a S200 Dynamic Gold installed.

That shaft and I did not get along. Couldn't feel where the head was for some reason.

Going to try the KBS Tour or S400 DG which I've always played in my wedges. Also heard great things about the DG Spinner.
