Las Vegas "trophy" courses question

Heading to Las Vegas in August, and I'd like to play one of the following: Shadow Creek, Wynn, Cascata.

 

I'm looking for any info anyone has on the courses - specifically, does anyone know costs at that time of year? And, any opinions on favorite of the three (as don't see myself splurging for more than one)

I've played Shadow Creek and it was great but not life-changing. I think it's a solid $500 unless you get comped and you must stay at an MGMMirage property. For $500 it just seems like a waste now since Pebble costs a similar amount. I haven't played Wynn or Cascata but I'm not hugely interested with the Wynn given how close it is to the strip.

I have played them all. Cascata will run about $350 and is my second favorite. Great desert, mountain course. Wynn is $500, have to stay at Wynn to play. No driving range, but I did let Michael Jordan play through. Nevertheless, least recommended of the three. Shadow Creek is a beautiful parkland course in North Las Vegas. A sight to behold with unbelievable amenities. It is $500 on Mon-Thurs. you must be invited by the casino to play on Fri-Sat-Sun (ie. play $200 a hand blackjack for 4 hrs. At an MGM casino AND be staying there.

It's a shame Reflections Bay closed. That was a beautiful course

August in vegas? Be ready for over 110+. Yeah its dry heat but still hot as balls.

If you haven't already done so, you may want to check with the courses to make sure they won't be closed for overseeding. I played the Wynn a few years back in mid August and it was the day before they closed. I think it was Aug. 15th?

No course in Las Vegas is worth $500. I have played Pebble Beach many times, and I don't even think Pebble Beach is worth $500. If you want great golf, go on a golf vacation somewhere else (especially in August).

Las Vegas has crap golf, barely adequate golf, and OK golf. If you must play in August in LV, there are lots of threads about where to play.
