Hex Chrome............flat out works

I have read with interest all the reviews on the Hex Chrome so it was time to give it a try. I have played and been very happy with : Pro V1x, Srixon Zstar XV, Callaway iz & is, these have all worked very well for me. My SS with the driver can be anywhere from 95 - 103 depending on how my back is that day. I read that the chrome was almost a combo of the is / iz so this got my interest. I played it last night for the first time and this ball has a very good chance of staying in my bag all year.

 

Driver: Soft feel, long and straight, perfect mid/ high trajectory. Feels like the is, goes like iz and it was windy, big big plus

 

Irons : Again soft feel, great flight and distance

 

Wedges: It had rained in the morning so greens were soft. The ball just stoped in its tracks. Will have to see what it is like on firm greens

 

I gave one to my buddy who is about a 25 hcp, hits it short, slices and has no short game. He always play Pro V1 and that ball hurts his game. He could not believe how much less of a slice and how much farther his drives were going with the chrome. The course was quite so he hit driver with both balls on every hole. The chrome won out and it looks like he will be buying a dozen for the weekend.

 

This is a very good ball for a wide variety of players. Give them a try, you might just love them.

I picked up a dozen and really like them as well. I was alternating between the Penta 3 and the Chrome and I think I will play the Chrome the rest of the year. I'm hitting it longer than ever before.

Just got a sleeve of them to try out this weekend...looking forward to trying them out. If I like it and it unseats the Zstar XV's, Zstars and Pentas out of my bag, I'll be picking up a couple dozen when the yellow version get's released at the end of May.

I made the chrome my ball this year....I think its right at the top of the heap for a all round ball for people in the 100mph swing speed range....not the best at any one thing but it does everything very well.
