Golfshot for Android Beef

Ok so I made the decision to switch from my Iphone to a JUMBO screen Samsung Galaxy Note which is Android based. I repaid the $29 for Golfshot (which is STILL cheaper than a standalone + subscription).

 

-I'm not always using the distance average when measuring each club but it sure is nice to have when you want to find out just how far that big hit went. Now I miss not being able to utilize it.

 

-When entering score info, there's this weird skinny 'bar' going across the screen. It looks stupid and I guess you can't get rid of it.

 

-Aerial view is missing distances

 

-Where's the 'acquiring satellites' indication ?

 

- A real ANNOYANCE, the 'go to hole #' feature is missing. We had to start the back 9 first and instead of the handy feature that allows you to advance directly to any hole, I had to tediously advance one hole at a time to #10. WAY stupid.

 

On the positive side, ALL my old scorecards are available right there on my phone (surprise). I think it started my stats all over again though.

 

I don't regret the repurchase but DANG, WHY are they selling a crippled version of an otherwise fine golf GPS app ?

 

V3.0 can't come too soon.

I have the Android version on my Evo - and I have this feature.

I love my Golfshot but maybe because it's the iPhone version??

I too have golfshot on the Iphone and have none of these issues. Maybe it is just the Android version?

Maybe some of it's me not knowing how to make the 'Droid version work Waiting for a reply to my post to DCMIDNIGHT.

Just hit the menu button and jump to hole is one of the options,also acquiring satellites will only show up if you start the app and the gps is turned off and you turn it on

Ok, found the menu button (Iphone version has a completely different menu implementation). Sat acquired displayed before every time it 'woke up' out of sleep mode between shots on the Iphone. Thanks for the tips Macklessdaddy. I feel more comfy with it.

Any clues as to how to get the aerial view to show yardages and/or how to get the club distance measurement to work ?

to get yardages in aerial view you can touch any point on the screen and it will give you yardage to that point,club distance tracking is a IOS only feature right now

I'll have to try touching again, maybe I just didn't give it enough pressure.
