Pros: It's simple, has a pretty simple and clear alignment system (which I love/need)

Cons: It's simple, The the totally square construction balance well? How does it interract with the turf (does it get hung up?)

Bottom line you made your own putter and that's really cool!! Any plans for modifications (More head shaping, milling, etc...)?

i'd be interested to see what the toe hang is, since you have a double-bend shaft that's mounted in the center. what's the head weight? it's made of aluminum, so i'd guess pretty light.

i think it's nice though. basically a huge flanged blade. the fact that you even got the sight line right is impressive.

more importantly, did you learn anything during the process?

Thanks everybody for taking the time to awnser to my topic.

- I used a Milling machine to do the putter head. It was pretty easy to do since the putter desing is really simple. I used Metal letter punch to write my initials on it. The paintfill is done by using somes Testors brand emal paint.

- The whole process start with a pencil and a sheet of paper. My goal was to desing a putter head who is really simple looking at. No frills or a piece of art, just a tool that will do the job allright. After designing the putter, I used a milling machine to make look a basic piece of aluminium more like a putter. I shaped it to my liking.

- I would say that my biggest mistake is actually the weight of the putter head. Since it was my first putter, I didn't know how much aluminium I have to keep to have the perfect weight. At the end, it turn out pretty light, so light for my likings. For the next putter, I would use Stainless Steel.

- There is something I could do for my next putter if you want it guys. If you want, I can take you through the whole process with pictures of me making a putter. From the first draw to the final result. What type of putter you would like to see me building ?

Thanks again guys

thanks for the update.

we on this forum are junkies for putters--making, desigining, etc. some of us are engineers, some designers, some machinists, and some very knowledgeable, even putter makers themselves that you've heard of. consulting this group will be a benefit to you as much as it will to us. i personally find these kinds of threads very, very interesting, since I have an engineering degree and enjoy putters very much. you will likely learn something from the more knowledgeable here, and you likely will end up with a putter that has a very sound design. i would recommend you doing it again, but, this time, consult this group on every step of the process so you get it just right and manage to think about some things that you might not have considered before.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
