Golf recommendations for Avon Colorado area

I am going on a family trip to Avon around the first week of August and I'm looking for a couple of courses so that I can slip away.

I am looking primarily for a solid (doesn't have to be spectacular) course but with some amazing views. I live in Orlando so I'd like to get that different golfing experience that golf in the Rockies affords.

I'm also hoping to keep the cost under $200 per round. I don't really have the budget for some of the top courses so some insight from those who have been there would be very helpful.

For great views check out The Raven @ Three Peaks in Silverthorne. About $150 round and 45 minutes east of Avon.

About an hour west of Avon is Lakota Canyon in New Castle. $80 round. Not the same amazing views as the Raven but an awesome course at budget price.

We go to Avon for 4-5 days almost every summer. The Eagle-Vail course is right near Avon. It's ok, but has some weird holes. The Vail course is a bit blah IMHO. My pick would be Eagle Ranch in Eagle. I play there each time we go. It's only about 30 min from Avon, the course is really nice and the views are fantastic. And it's under $100. Thanks for the info!

As a splurge I may try one of the courses at Red Sky Ranch. Are they worth $250 for a round? If you had to pick the one with better views, which one would you go with?

I've never spent the $$$ to play at any of the Red Sky Ranch or any of the other really expensive places like Cordillera. They do look nice though

Just played the Vail golf club yesterday and it was a blast. Got paired up with some great guys and we all had fun. The course is in great shape and the greens even more so. The staff was friendly and the cost was decent. $107 with cart. Just be aware that this time of year it rains most afternoons around 3pm. We had a 10:20am tee time and it was sprinkling a bit on the last hole.

Not only are there great views of the mountains, but the homes nearby are incredible! The biggest challenge for me (aside from my lack of general skill) was trying to figure which club to pull when there was elevation change involved. It was only an issue on three holes but it's a rare experience for a Florida golfer. Looking forward to playing Eagle/Vail or Eagle Ranch later this week.
