Who do you use to book your Myrtle Beach golf trip?

I'm trying to book a spring 2013 trip - I can't get Brian to return my calls or e-mails. He returned first e-mail, since then I've left 2 e-mails and 2 VM's with no responses. Last one was a week ago with the question "Do you want our business?" He didn't respond. Don't waste your time, there's other operators.

I'm a fan of Brian's as well - I've used him for about 3 trips - but there are certain times where he is not quick enough (in my opinion) is his email responsiveness. If you give him a call, he will absolutely do right by you - there's a reason so many people recommend him. You might also consider that email glitches do occasionally occur. While it's not likely, it's possible that he hasn't received some of your subsequent emails (or vice versa). A phone call will clear everything up.

Having said that - there are dozens of other reputable packagers as well, so if your frustration has gotten to the point where you'd rather work with someone else, try someone else. You're the customer, and he should be responsive to your timing and needs.

Just to clarify, he responded to my first inquiry to say "I don't have 2013 rates yet but should have them in a week." I waited two weeks and tried him again. After more 3 tries with no reply, my last communication was a Voice mail to the extent of "If you want our business, please call me back." I called on days when he was in the office on another line and I left specific messages - I'll be free from 2-5 pm with office and cell phone number. No response from Brian.

So he was very unresponsive and I took my business elsewhere. I don't think I was unreasonable, I'm the customer and I shouldn't have to beg for service. There's pleanty of other MB golf agents that will return e-mails and phone calls. If he works for you then great, but I had a very poor experience with him.

Sorry to hear that...and I agree with you completely. I would probably do the same thing in your circumstances. I hope you found someone that you can work with.

I think you should call back to clarify the air with Brian. I just booked with him in matter of minutes. I email yesterday with what i wanted, he emailed me back this morning. We went back in forth a couple times with issues with my choices and within 30 minutes i had it booked. I know there are times when he is super busy and it is starting now through summer then he cools off a bit then picks back up for fall and winter. sorry for your issues.

Just to jump on this thread I reached out to Brian at MB golf desk and he returned my email - thoroughly I might add - within 48 hrs. I will most likely book with his company. Fair prices and quick response - long story but we already had a quote through his biz partner Mike. Regardless, they were very professional and prompt.

Happy to hear others are having success with Brian. I completed booking months ago - I'm not sure why you suggest I clarify with Brian - there's nothing to be gained. There's really no excuse he could offer - he could at least have replied with a "I'm too busy to handle right now, sorry". I left 4 different messages, two emails and two phone messages without a response. I was booking a good size group, 12 Golfers, 8 rounds over 5 days.

I guess it's like a restaurant - I had bad service so I won't go back or recommend. Many have had a different experience.

I understand, one bad meal at a restaurant doesn't mean always bad but you do what you have to do.

I hope you enjoy your golf and time in MB it is a great place to go and be at to relax and vacation.

To complete your analogy, though, if there are 25 other restaurants within a few blocks, why would you go back to a place that you weren't satisfied with? I understand you like Brian; I do too. But there are many packagers around, and I probably wouldn't go back if I was dissatisfied either.

That is why I put you have to do what you have to do. It is only My opinion and i was wrong to suggest a reconciliation. Opinions are like butts everyone has one and i gave mine. Is it gospel heck no, i bet people don't like allot of things i do i will deal. I think the dude is a nice poster.
