Junior Tourneys

Anyone won anything?

Hey guys, wondering if anyone has won any tourneys on the tours and stuff? In my area we have different events, some U18, some U21. This is my first year playing tourneys, but these are my tour season highlights:

1 win in U18 event
2 2nd's in U18 events
Top 5 in U21 event
Top 5 in national U15 event(Which I'm most proud of)

What about the rest of ye?

My game has just started to come around and as a result I have won the both the FCWT's that I played in. I won the French Creek Open in early october shooting 74-74 to win by 8 and at the Grand Cypress Classic I shot 71-75 and won by 1. At the grand cypress classic I made a 20 footer on the last to win by 1.

Dude, thats so sick! I had an ok year, 1 Sierra Mist Tour win, got beat in the semi-finals of the State (CT) Junior, came in 3rd in the Player of the Year standings for the Sierra Mist. I definitely want to win more than just 1 tourney next year.

 

 

EDIT- I was on the team that won the New England Junior Invite, but that was a team not individual

No wins, but I got runner-up in the first flight of a decent sized tourney in southern Ontario. I shot 80 the first day, moved on to match play in the first flight, won my first match in 19 holes (1st playoff hole I made a clutch par save to win- longest 3 footer I've ever seen in my life lol). 2nd match I beat the defending champ 4&2 (luckiest putting day ever though, I shot 3 under thru 16 holes, with only 20 putts, I was making everything- 99% of the time, I'll never beat him). The final match of my flight I lost 2&1. We were all square thru 15, but he won 16 after I messed it up (he won with bogey, it was pathetic), then he made a beautiful birdie putt on 17 to lock it up. I was +4 thru 17, so it's not like I played badly, he just played slightly better.

 

 

 

No other highlights really... a top 10 (6th place) at the City of Windsor championships... nothing too big though, only 11 or 12 people actually showed up for it, and I putted like junk to shoot a 78. I had 35 putts- 17 2-putts and 1 1-putt, with was my 17th hole of the day, I dropped a bomb for birdie, and all I could think was "it's about f***ing time something drops!"

 

 

 

Had a good time competiting though- I've got a lot more confidence in tournaments now, I think next year I should win at least once on the Meijer tour, and possibly move up to the Powerbilt tour (tours in Michigan- REALLY well-run tournaments they put on)

A couple local tour wins. Shot 72 to win by 6. Shot 70-79 to win by 8 and shot 75 at a this one tough course to win by 5. I won regionals with 74 won by 6.
