Mizuno Yoro Craft 50* MP33 PW am I crazy fro getting one

So am looking into getting an MP33 PW bent to 50* as part of their Yoro Craft offering. Is this a crazy endeavor?

 

For whatever reason I have it in my head that taking a gap wedge and bending it from 52 to 50 is not quite what I am after. I am thinking that taking a more traditional iron design and bending it will play better…

 

Crazy genus or plain crazy?

Are you sending your pw just to be bent? Your getting it refinished as well or put a grind as well? You can't order an mp33 from Yoro can you?

As a couple of other places said it would be a bad idea with theirs and Mizuno said they would only do it with the MP33, am guessing they don't think I am out thinking their designers. But rather they can do it cleanly with grinds and bends in the 33 line.

The objective is to raise the CG more than "a traditional" gap wedge has, even the 50* wedges seem to be more wedge than iron...

My only other alternative is to shorten a PW so I have an inordinate length change for the 120-130 club and then back to a longer SW and LW...

This makes more sense to me, sorry it insults your sensibilities....

Ordering just a PW, an I am told MP33 is an option. Just never played one.
How is it size wise? Would prefer compact, BB compact or a little larger if possible... But beggars can't be choosers...

If bending it suits the distance that you are looking for, why not? I had my 52 degree MP R-12 bent to 50* and its a great 100-yard club.

why not just get an old set of mp14 they have a stock pw loft of 50*

Trying to stay conforming. Not sure if mp14s had that....

MP33 is pretty solid but you might be better off with MP69 get it bent at Yoro to 50 and have them adjust the bounce angle as needed and any other grind you want.

I was just surprised you can still order a MP33, thought you had to buy it used and send it in to them.

To the point earlier, Yoro is only willing to do it with the MP33...
Would rather go the MP 69 route, but no luck there...
