Wow..- New Wie book

You guys have probably seen this but I just found it over on thesandtrap.com

 

How is she a champion, she hasn't won anything on tour. Now if they had done this on tiger it would make sense but this just doesn't make any sense.

 

Oh yeah by the way, I'm not sure if this should go here or the off-topic, please move it if its in the wrong place.

The book is probably marketed to the younger scholastic crowd. Inspirational book for kids and teens. Wie appeal is much broader than just golf.

Personally, since it says "the making of a champion" its pretty much saying she will be a champion. Which will spark some debate probably, because some will say she will be a champion, some will say she wont.

The title says Making of a Champion, the way I read it that means that she is a champion and it is saying how she became one in other words her life story.

You don't have to win on tour to be a champion. Last I checked, she won the 2003 Women's Amateur Public Links, becoming the youngest person (male or female) to win a USGA adult championship. She also was a member of the victorious 2004 Curtis Cup team. She hasn't done it as a pro, but that doesn't take anything away from her triumphs as an amateur.

I'm just sick of hearing about her...I just think in women's golf there are so many better stories people can focus on rather than all Wie all the time.

you must be watching tv at all the exact moments when they feature her! because by no means is it about her all the time. Now if you lived in hawaii, of course the news will always feature her if she is doing something, but you dont live here.

WOW! Maybe I should write a book about my exploits on the PGA Tour, since I'm about as close to getting on the PGA Tour as Michelle Wie is to becoming a champion on the LPGA Tour. :drinks:
