Newbie from Glasgow, Scotland

Hello!

 

After a few weeks of reading I have decided to make my first posts!

 

My name is Frazer and from Glasgow in Scotland. Been playing golf for 2.5 years but to be honest 2012 was the first year i really took it serious and tried to improve. With this I saw my handicap drop from 26 to 18 over the summer, which has made me want to work even harder to get it down further in 2013!

 

I plan on making the most of living in the "home of golf" and the fantastic courses i have around me, Royal Troon, Muirfield, St Andrews and Turnberry are all within a 90 minute drive so position could not be better! If only we had better weather!

 

Just picked up my new gaming irons for 2013, John Letters Forged Master Model - hand assembled in St Andrews, fitted with some Project X 5.0 shafts. My R9 Supertri and Nike SQ 3w will be getting replaced before the start of the season once i get to try out the 913, Anser and Covert models!

 

Anyway, go gentle on me and i look forward to contributing as best I can!

Frazer. Be nice to have some pics of your bag set up to go along with the description. Never been in your neck of the woods, but y'all have some outstanding courses. Jealous that you can get to play those links and that they are so close to you. Keep up the good work and you'll be in low numbers in no time.

I have already played Trumps new course here, spectacular is an understatement! Booked for the Old Course on April so cant wait for that either!

Hi Frazer! I once visited Glasgow back in the summer of '08 on a school trip from the states! I remember going to the Botanical Gardens and for night life going down to "The Garage" and "The Classroom" if I remember those names accurately. Nice to hear you picked up the game seriously. Good luck!

You are indeed correct with The Garage! The ultimate student nightclub in Glasgow! I think i have been to the Botanical Gardens once, many years ago, but as always you always ignore/forget what is right on your doorstep!
