Swing Vid - please help my brother!

Hey guys - thanks in advance for any feedback. Me and my brother play golf together all the time, and I'm always trying to give him tips, but I'm no instructor. He plays to a 12 handicap and since the day we started playing he has always been really laid off at the top. Decent ballstriker and he's fine with distance, but I'd love to help him figure out how to get the club in a better position at the top, and I have no idea where to start. My gut tells me that's where his inconsistency begins, but maybe I'm way wrong. It just pops out at me and I'm always nagging him about it.

 

He usually hits a high draw and his miss is a hook. Hardly ever hits it right, but I'd like to see him fade it a bit like me, but I think left is just natural to him. So, any feedback is appreciated (even if it has nothing to do with the laid off position). Thanks!

He let me take this vid at the range and I told him I'd show it to "my friends" to see what they say. (Yes, I consider you all my friends :P ) This wasn't a great swing and he did hit a pull, but he wouldn't let me take any more video :P Said it made him feel weird. Sorry for the bad angle, was trying to get a little sneaky.

A good tip for fixing a laid off position is simply getting the butt end of your club pointing to the ground. Watch when his left arm is parallel to the ground on the upswing. Notice where the butt of his club is pointing. He needs to get that thing pointing down towards his toes more. A little more wrist c0ck will assist with this. When you c0ck your wrists correctly, it is very difficult to become laid off. Hope that makes sense.

Kschneid makes a great point.. I really think that your brother would greatly benefit from an early wrist set although this will feel very awkward at first if he can buy into the idea it will certainly help your brother get the club into a better position at the top of the swing and I have no doubt it will help him be more consistent
