MacGregor Cart Bag - Pay it forward

As great as this game has been to me, I feel like I owe something back. So this is a 'Pay it forward'... any fellow golfer in need of a MacGregor Cart bag? It's in good shape still and I would like to offer it to someone in need only please. PM me if you could use this as it has not been used in years and has become a club collector/display only for me. Surely someone can get some use out of it.

Good on ya OP. If you don't get any takers, the first tee program in your area may take it and pass it on to a kid who needs a bag.

Thanks Kymar. I had contacted local First Tee a couple of months ago, and they didn't "need" what I had available to donate. So, I found someone on GolfWRX that had a need and since then I figured I might as well offer it up here first.

Yeah There was a thread several months someone posted that their local first tee refused a ton of stuff. Not sure if that was you or not but man I was surprised My chapter will take almost anything. I guess a lot depends on locale and demand. Hope you find a taker, it's a pretty sweet bag!

Thanks Kymar. It wasn't me that posted regarding First Tee before, but it could have just been the wrong timing... maybe they were stacked with inventory in my local area at the time I contacted them. I won't say it turned me off completely, but it made me look to this community next and found what I was looking for here. I hope I find a taker too. It's a nice bag, and as I was boxing it up tonight I was digging through pockets and found a MacGregor towel in there too. Makes me think I should go dig through my other bags to see what forgotten treasures may be hiding.

I bought a really old Burton bag at a church yard sale a few years ago. The woman told me I could fill it with as many clubs I could carry in it for 5 bucks. I got a nice little driving iron with a very sweet UST Tour weight shaft in it., 2 old ping putters, a couple hogan wedges, a set of dynacraft irons. and some miscellaneous brass 8802 style that looked like it was used for small machine repair that i refinished, mostly just to practice because me trying to putt with an 8802, well I could do as well with a garden ho. Anyway i was already excited at my haul and when i got home, I opened the large pocket there was a pair of 1974 MacGregor all white saddle shoes...... in amazing condition......in my size.... :yahoo: [size=4] They had the s[/size][size=4]mall thread screw in nails. NO TASSLES (thank god). I immediately bought some white shoe polish, some Wesley's bleach white and went to work. They looked new when i was done and I still wear them on occasion. They DON'T make em like they used to. [/size]

Cool story, KYMAR. Ha ha, NO TASSLES! . I know I have a sweet pair with tassles around somewhere. My first pair of Nike golf shoes back in the late 80's had them. Those were the days!
