Going to PGA National Resort this weekend

I've got my birthday coming up so the wife is taking me to PGA National in Palm Beach this weekend. I'm not going to be playing the Champion Course but I get a round a day on the other courses and unlimited practice and such. Any advice heading out there?

I have been there 3 times in the last year or so.

The Fazio was just renovated, and the greens are AMAZING. Definitely my fav after the Champions course.

I also really like the Palmer, which is also the fav with the members there. As a result, there are many days it is open only to the members, so be sure to ask which days it is closed to resort guests.

I know you aren't planning on playing the Champ, but while you are there, be sure to ask if they are running a special. Sometimes they will get you out for a very small upcharge.

If you need restaurant advise let me know

While I have never had the privilege of playing PGA National, I have heard that the Estates is a nice little course. It is off property (not sure if you will have a car) but I have heard good things.

Thanks guys. I have a round scheduled at the Palmer course but haven't decided about my second round. I may spring for the Champions course, we will see. I'm looking forward to some good golf, just hoping I play well, enjoy myself, and don't get too down when I hit a bad shot!
