He's def rotating the forearms in those stills! He's just not as deep and behind himself as those drills.
They are drills after all. But ya...he's not crazy in to out as I thought he'd be from those drills. He doesn't have a deep punch elbow either...but
we aren't trying to all look like Hogan. He's significantly taller and a bigger guy compared to Hogan. All that matters is that the ball gets properly porked.

In reality yes it rotates. I meant I don't think he rotates it actively. But I could be wrong.

I wonder why snead's face is much more open compared to allenby's. My clubface position is def more closed in my avatar more like allenby's....although he's way shallower than me.

I'd be surprised if he's actively trying to rotate/roll his forearms. No way I think. He's probably just thinking to swing his arms fast and pork the ball with all he's got.

Brad's move reminds me very much of Nicky Price. He is even a hair steep with the club bisecting his shoulder and then bang! the club is practically invisible it's on his arm perfectly at P6. Ugh how does he do that?

No but he shrugged of the criticism of the inside positions we were all harping on. Said we didn't understand. Then he puts up a swing that doesn't have any of this supersloting junk. He is the ABS guy with credentials, hits it well can play. So who should we believe - his swing with out own two eyes (regardless of his personal) feels or LE who has some weird shallow steepen move? I will go with Brad. I understand the need to defend the system - it's noble - but why? Why supershallow it at all? Bc "lag" says so? Maybe Lag will come and enlighten us. Just the facts

That one doesn't look all that much different than your avatar tembo-snead.

Aha! That tembo-snead made me laugh. I'm still too steep...these boys are much bigger than me...6 inches taller or more and they are shallower than me even though they are giraffes compared to me.

I guess people need to do those drills just to get close to positions Brad gets in? I don't know for sure but I'd imagine the majority of the golfing population whips it inside and then comes way over the top.

Snead! Good lord that's a mouth watering position.

I think the big diff is Snead rotates his shoulders steeper, Allenby more horizontal from those pics onwards. Steeper turn thru impact coincides with L side/hip extension. Horizontal turn coincides with lack of extension. Not only is extension more accurate, it's more powerful.

I'm liking the sound of that. Going to look at brad's move again because I thought he gets his left shoulder down too.

Went to Brad's site. Has very specific drills to get you to feel what he thinks is important. It's nice that it's step by step like he has it.

Feel vs real gentlemen. JE is probably the the extreme example of the model, but he hits it better than, well, pretty much anyone questioning his teachings while displaying the traits that he and guys like Brad Hughes find in the great strikers.

It's a shame that there are about three posters who are so busy telling us that it can't be done when it doesn't fit into their prescious system of measurements, nomenclature and understanding, because it's rare that the average hack has such access to a guy like Brad Hughes.

Brad has a damn fine swing. Grady does as well. JE does too if you bother to watch the club and not get so awestruck with some if his built in components that admittedly make it look awkward to the untrained eye.

Superslotting is elective in ABS. It is a very difficult move, that is why only a few pros, who were great ballstrikers have done it. Why do it? The CW rotation of the club while the left side of the body begins it's move toward the target creates tremendous stretch in the muscles along the left exterior of the body, i.e. the lat and hip. The body is being stretched in opposite directions. This creates potential energy, and creates a lot of pressure in the hands. It requires active firing of the hands, rather than passive hands. But we immediately are trained on how to hit in ABS. Active firing of the hands does not mean a rollover, and nor is ABS is a block.

JE's swing may look akward, but if you can't appreciate where he gets the club and clubface here then you are chasing a look rather than an effective golf swing. Someone said this was like Rickey Fowler. You were joking right? This is just damn impressive.

And there's your MORAD cabal grinding away.

Put up your excellent moves gentlemen. I'd love to see someone who's got Hogan down. Or Nicklaus.

We all know that won't happen.

You wouldn't want the thread to be about our swings , I don't get your point about morad cabal , I don't know any morad guys posting on it
Honestly I thought it was erikson goofing around , no way would he swing like that
