Lake Nona or Isleworth?

I have the opportunity to play either Lake Nona or Isleworth. Anyone whose played both have a prefference? Thanks, Jim

ISLEWORTH! 100,000,000 times more exclusive than Nona. (Nothing wrong with Nona, I've played it once and it was awesome, but I've NEVER had the opportunity to play Isleworth). A buddy of mine played not too long ago - he said most likely the best course he's ever played or ever will play.

I went to join Islesworth and the questionnaire asked what shaft flex I played. Told the truth. Regular. Told me I did not have enough money or the game to join.

I echo what Phil said, I've heard similar & I live down the street from Lake Nona, but Isleworth has a little bite more exclusivity.

I have played both. If I had to pick one it would be isleworth. It's a much much tougher course. Nona has struggled with their greens most of the yr.

Update: I played Interlachen CC on Thursday, it's really a beautiful course. We didn't play all the way back, but it was plenty challenging. The greens are awesome. I can't wait to play it again.

Today I played the both South/East combo at Grand Cypress and the New Course. The South nine is really nice, and the East is good too. I didn't care for the New Course. It looks like a links, but doesn't play that way at all. The fairways are too soft, most of the greens are elevated. The great links courses in Scotland and Ireland fit naturally into their surrounding environment. The New Course feels and looks contrived. It's really a lame resort course. It's too bad because I'm usually a fan of Nicklaus' designs.

I'm playing Lake Nona on Sunday. The member who's taking me says the greens are in good shape. I'll be sure to update.

Unfortunately, the option to play Isleworth didn't pan out.

Bermuda rough is the most evil thing ever. I will take ankle deep bent grass rough any day.

Thanks for comments and feedback. I played Lake Nona yesterday. It's a great course, and in great shape. I was looking forward to paying Isleworth, but, totally I played Interlachen and Lake Nona. Maybe someday I'll get a chance to play Isleworth.
