Regular or Stiff?

I'm looking to buy a cobra 9.5 speed pro x series driver head so I would need to put a shaft in it. Right now I play a titleist 905R 10.5 with a graphite design ys-6+ Regular shaft. My ss is 95 and my ballspeed is in the mid 140's. I seem to put some excess spin on the ball with my current setup. So I was wondering if I would benifit from a stiff or regular shaft if I buy the head. Would the stiff shaft lower spin and will the 9.5 do that also? I just turned 18 so I hope that I get a little bit stronger, so would the stiff shaft be better for down the road but I don't want it to be bad for my game now if I don't need it. Also Would the v2 shafts be worth looking at?

9.5 with a regular v2 would be fine. my friend is in you ss range and with this setup he has a good ball flite. mid piercing trajectory.

need some launch monitor numbers if you can get them. how much do you weigh? how well do you load the club? are you quick in the transition or a tempo player?

i have always found the ys6 to be a whippy shaft. i had the stiff flex in the 905R for one round. it played no higher than regular, and maybe even close to senior. it could have been a dud shaft, but a guy i was playing with who was on his way to the college in temecula watched me hit a few shots and said "you need a stiff shaft in your driver." i said it was stiff, and he laughed, saying the shaft was a dud, or i needed tour stiff. if you can get the cpms read on the shaft, you should do that.

and i do like the v2 shaft. the stiff in the v2 is not crazy stiff either, so i would advise that you look at a stiff and a reg together.
