Hzrdus Yellow 65 vs Even flow black 65 question

If I liked a Yellow 65 6.0 tipped .5inch in a 202-205gr head depending on the weight set up, would the EF black translate to the same set up 6.0 .5in tipping flexwise? Or would it be better to go 6.5? Thanks.

For me, the hzrdus yellow launches and spins off the charts high. I haven’t hit the evenflow black, but the blue launches and spins significantly lower. Yellow is a soft mid that gets stiffer before getting softer again at the tip. Evenflow blue and black are both stiffer in the mid than the yellow and get less stiff before leveling out in the tip area. Black gets a bit stiffer in the tip area before leveling off. From what I’ve read, tipping either of these shafts won’t make a big difference due to the leveling off of stiffness in the tip area. I would imagine black would be lower for sure and blue would be higher or lower depending on whether or not yellow was a good fit for you. I’m not sure if that was much help, but my advice would be to demo both and see. Most shops should carry at least evenflow blue as a stock demo, and your launch/spin from there could determine whether or not black is necessary.

I guess it was fairly obvious that the HZRDUS Yellow was a bad fit for you. It worked great for me in my M2. I just went ahead and went with the Yellow, because I know it worked for me in the past, and I wouldn't be able to get out for awhile to test everything else out. Thanks for your thoughts.

Am I reading the EI profiles wrong? I'm still a relative novice to understanding everything about how shafts perform, but I'm seeing it as I described it. Yellow with a soft mid that stiffens before softening again at the tip, blue with a stiffer mid that gradually loses stiffness before leveling out, and black getting stiffer toward the tip before leveling out.
