bourbon trail golf courses

hey everyone! looking for some advice here. Hitting the bourbon trail in about a month for a bachelor party. We are all avid golfers and I would like to book a nice round for everyone. We are from Michigan so my knowledge of courses around there is minimal. What are some top notch courses I should be looking at? thanks for the advice!!

I assume you'll be driving through Louisville, so Valhalla should be on your list if at all possible. Chariot Run is the Horseshoe Casino course outside of Louisville and it's pretty good. In Lexington you could try the University Club and Kearney Hill. Heritage Hills isn't far from the Jim Beam distillery and it's a decent public course.

    Nevel Meade

Keene Trace (Barbasol PGA Tour stop IIRC)

    Covered Bridge in Indiana

Access to privates and which spots on the trail you are hitting make a difference. I’m sure a few of us can provide direction once provided that information.

However, I completely disagree on Covered Bridge. Overpriced for what it is. Many better options.

I suggested CB due to it being on his way down from MI. I assume they are crossing into KY at Louisville.

Any course you play this time of year, you want to check when the greens have been punched. In Lexington the university club will punch Big Blue on the 9th. Don't worry about the wildcat course, it's not in great shape. Kearney Hill is supposed to punch the same day, but because of the weather they may choose to not do them at all.

We'll be hitting the trail all day on friday, and looking to golf and hit the slugger museum on saturday. We are staying in louisville. And unfortunately have no access to a private course, unless someone wants to hook it up! also, important info, we'll be there december 1st so that probably changes things. thanks!
