Cleveland 2006 Steel Fairway Woods

New to the forum (obviously), just wondering if anyone has tried out the new Cleveland fairway woods (2006 Steel). Pleasing to the eye IMO, have given one a waggle in the shop but haven't had the weather (or means for that matter, being LH'ed) to actually hit one. The stock Fuji looks & feels a whole lot better than the previous stock Fuji's that came in the earlier model(s). Any and all input/feedback much appreciated...

Nice club. You're right, the Fuji in this one is alot more solid this time around. It's not as whippy, has a torque of 3.2 or 3.4, so it's not a duck hook machine. My only problem is that the face is just a little too shallow for what fits my eye. Other than that, it's a very solid club. I was hitting it 240 yards in 35* temps a few weeks ago, and it felt great, and flew nice and straight. A very good club, easy to get the ball airborn, and it doens't balloon. Would use it, but I got my 3 wood set for now!

I am a righty but have this fwy wood in a 3 and 5 and it is unreal. The set up is unbelievable. Not to mention it is hot.

Thanks for all of the info. I had seen the GC Hot List and thought if that the best "NOT" they could come up with was "Standard fairway-wood look is hard to get excited about"...pretty weak on their part. I personally like the looks of these more so than most others on the market.

One thing I wish OEM's would start placing on their website(s) is the suggested flex based on SS, tempo, etc. I am considering the stock Fuji in stiff, just hope it's what I'll need. My SS is normally around 105 with a little more quick tempo than I desire.

On another topic, I've found a putter that really fits me well & I'm tickled about it (that being a Scotty Cameron Red X). Wonder how long it will be before I ho for another flatstick (cool)

Cleveland use to put that info on their site, until they revamped it when the 2006 woods came out. But with your swing speed and tempo, a stiff should work just fine.
