lamkin stingfree crossfire grips

I'm looking to replace my grips on my Ap2's. I'm either going to go with the Lamkin crossfire grips or the Lamkin stingfree crossfire grips. The regular crossfire grips are in the three dollar range while the stingfree are in the seven dollar range. Not sure if I want to pay over double if it's not worth it. If it's worth it I will gladly pay. Can anyone help me deceide.

First off, what don't you like about your current grips and what kind are they? Then take it from there....

Personally, I'd buy one of each, throw them on and see what I like. It's tough to pick up a grip on a stick in the store and decide without hitting a shot.

Crosslines - tried and true, won millions on tour. Quite tacky, not sure on humidity performance since I just put them on a backup set to try out for the winter. I use the crossline tour cord, which is great in the humidity, but they can get a bit harsh.

Stingfree - the newest shiniest grip from them. Could be good if you suffer from any joint pain. Held it in the store and it feels alright, but I don't have problems with vibration and shock, and actually appreciate all the feedback. To me it wasn't worth $7 to try it.

Pay for what you want though. No reason to try and save $28 on a set of grips that will make you unhappy with your $800 irons.

Well I just made post in regards to joint pain and such; thinking about going from steel shafts to graphite. That being said I just put the sting free grips on a couple of my irons to see if they really help.

I will keep you posted; but the early results are that the they do not seem to make much of a difference if any.

But.......... I have to admit only playing one round with them in Chilly Myrtle Beach when I was not playing very well.

I've used one and don't think it's worth the extra price. Lampkin shows the weight being the same, but they feel thicker to me. You might want to look at the crossline tour and see what you think. Similar grip, in my opinion.

Didn't notice much difference. I am going with the Winn's, which are softer and absorb more vibration.

I put them on a set when they first came out. Here's my feedback, they feel great but I couldn't tell a huge difference with shock and vibration. I did really like the grip alignment aids. I also spend quite a bit of time on the range and noticed that for $7.00 a grip they wore rather fast. I have sold the clubs since but I went back to GP Tour Velvets. I wouldn't spend the extra $$$ on them.

I have a crossline tour on my new Adams driver and really like the feel of that grip.
