Got my new Scotty Squareback H, good and bad news

great look and love the feel but

the 3 dot headcover SUX with this head, it needs to be bigger like and X or something, but other than that the Squareback sets up great and I ordered the H heavy model and just love the feel, the corded Scotty grip is also plus,
anyone else got a Squareback yet?
I may order a NP 2 midslant heavy also just for the same feel with a different look

I was not happy when I got mine, I ordered it early and it is the double bend hosel and not the newport hosel that all the prototypes I see. The proto with the newport hosel is much better that what they put into production. I only had it for a few days before I ditched it.

I personally like it. I bought a 34 inch model with the 15g weights and extended it one inch. Then I had a Red leather stitchback by Gripmaster installed. The cover is fine. You just need to take the time, to put the putter in the center of the cover each time. Its a good putter. Been the hottest club in my bag for about two months now.

No offense, but wouldn't you check which hosel you were getting before you ordered it? It was very known that the only OTR Squareback for this release was the double bend. I believe other neck options will be available next year.

As far as for the cover, you just have to take the time to put it in the center unlike just slipping in a normal blade. The covers will stretch out slightly and fit the Squareback well. Just give it time.

Love the shape though and don't see it leaving the bag for quite a while. Just make sure you get it fit for you!

There are a couple of guys you could have sent it to and they could have put a plumber's neck mid-slant, or santa fe neck on it for you.

Have only played a couple rounds with my 35" squareback. Its a keeper. Initially pulled some long puts to the left, but corrected that and the hit a couple monster long puts. Shorter puts are dead on. This is my first SC and was a bit hesitant to spend $300 on a putter but this is worth every penny.

Did order a replacement cover because I don't like the silver.

Great putter. It has the stability of a huge mallet in a compact head. Great MOI. I love the neck. It gives me the feel of a center shaft but gets everything out of the way for a clean look. The head cover is not the greatest for the shape that is true. I'm surprised they didn't make a new cover for this one and the Fastback version.
