I've used the Highest grade ones and I really didn't notice a difference. These had no scuffs and looked no different than new ones to me. Check Dealsongolfballs.com for some great prices and there is a GolfWRX discount.

All Golfwrx.com members will get an additional discount on balls purchased through DealsOnGolfBalls.com Members just have to put the code into the shopping cart as they check out. DealsOnGolfBalls.com prices are already near the lowest on the market but here's an additonal:

10% discount code = 56867

I don't know if it's just me, but I've got a mental problem using a refurbished or found ball. I think all balls have a "lifespan". Some are made to play 18 holes and some are meant to be lost in the bush after the first hit. If I find one...even if it's a ProV1 in new shape....it goes in the shag bag. The good karma's all used up in the bush or water! :)

I think that's a little rediculous.

The fact is there is no such thing as karma to a golf ball...it doesn't know the difference whether its in a bush or in the fairway.

I say go ahead and play yourself some refurbed balls, they come looking just like new and some even have cool logos on them. You can get ProVs refurbed for $22/dozen on austads.com (I bought 3 boxes from there)

That's why I said "I don't know if it's just me" and "mental problem". I know it sounds rIdiculous but that's just a "thing" I have with my golf balls. Like you think some balls have cool logo's. I can't stand logo balls and whenever someone gives me a dozen, some lucky friend of mines gets them or they end up in the shag bag too. :)

You are probably not alone. If my memory serves, Els said the similar stuff -- every ball gets birdy once in ball's lifetime. So he will replace the ball once got a birdy.

i also think els said something about 3 or 4 putts with a ball too.

i have no problem playing the mint/near mint used balls. i've compared the used ball and new ball (actually on a launch monitor - i brought my own ball and then after a few shots thought maybe i should use a brand new ball and bought some at the shop during the fitting) and there was no difference in ball speed, spin or launch angle.

i usually will tee the first hole with a used ball (first hole jitters and such) and then on the second hole go to a new ball. if i'm playing real bad (which means i'm losing balls quickly) i go with used balls.

I've heard Els say that too.

I like Ernie, but he's definitely wrong on this one. I (and I'm sure may others) have personally made 2 or more birdie's with the same ball hundreds of times. :)
