I played here last week also, they have hosted a Nationwide event here twice. Very nice course, fairly tough from the tips, it was kind of dried out but the greens were so fast, always a fun course to play. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Thanks Kevin, the 3rd hole is a 260 yard par 3 from the tips, the wind started to blow and this course became a real test, and like i said the greens were so fast, it was a great time trying to keep the round together.

Great course! I played a two day GCAT event there. They had the greens rolling at a 13 and there where hole locations you couldn't even believe. Kicked my butt! Glad you had a good time there, a definite for anyone going to the SD area.

And the 260 yd Par 3.... About is close as I have come to an ace recently. Hit a 3 iron with the wind and my back with a little cut and it bounced back towards the back right pin and hit the flag but didnt go in. Needless to say on a hole like that, I was still pretty happy.

260 is driver for me. Downwind, choke down on the driver. :lol:

Nice course, in the middle of nowhere. But the casino next to the course has an awesome buffet. One of the best you will find. Water has been a hot issue. Originally on wells, the adjacent properties were complaining that the golf course has sucked dry the aquifer. They had planned on building a pipeline for water, but I lost track of whether they ever completed the project. Fast greens, always on the dry side. Forget it when the Santa Ana winds are blowing in from the east.

Ah...I got play there as well about 4 or 5 years ago. Great course! My game at the time wasn't quite as good as it is now. The one thing I remember the most were the greens. Just immaculate condition, but man it was like concrete. I remember approach shots hitting the green and then rolling 30-40 feet off. I watched short 4-5 ft putts go 10-12 feet by the hole...I couldn't believe it at the time.

It was the first time I really realized the difference from a typical muni to a "nicer" course.

Nice pictures John, wish beruo and myself could have been there to give you some competition.

I would be sure and have brought extra ammunition along, rather than have to hunt for lost balls in the day-bree. :lol:

It is a little down hill too, and I think that we were playing it at about 245 that day. I only hit a 3 iron about 230. It is a beast of a par 3 no matter where they set it up. Huge bunker on the left of the green with the surface running away from you towards basically a cliff that guards the right side. It was one of the only memorable shots I hit that weekend.

I wasn't doubting you my friend, just laughing at myself for how short I have gotten. No matter how long it was "playing" that must have been an AWESOME feeling shot you hit. Nice memory to have!
