I am looking at a new shaft for the driver and fairway woods and was wondering what people's thoughts are on the AxivCore black shafts?

I am currently playing a Fubuki 73 in my driver and am wondering how this will compare to the AxivCore black shaft as I have been thinking of going with a Fubuki Alpha as an alternative.

The Axivcore Black will play more like the Alpha - not much of a pronounced "kick" and lower spin. It has a mid-high initial launch, but it flattens out due to the low spin. I've enjoyed it, but I'm considering getting something that launches just a little lower.

I've hit some of the longest drives in a long time (same head, different shafts). True high launch, low spin characteristics with a smooth feel that will keep any aggression you bring it! Highly recommend it if it fits you.

It's a great shaft in either a driver or a fw. I had mine (X) in a 9015D and MP 600. It was great in those. I finally settled in on putting it in my CB2 3W, a great combo.

Sounds promising, what weights did you go for in the driver and fairway woods?

I have the 69 X in my driver.

I play a stiff axiv tour black 69 in my r9 and love it. My drives are quite low so this helps my launch it a little higher and has helped me find more fairways.

I have a 79g tour black x flex sitting around that I may put in my 3 wood. I am curious to know if they play soft to flex at all?

I have a 79s in a 9015d, I just picked it up used and have hit it at the range only. Nice solid feel to it, not much kick as stated, but it's not boardy. I found it to hit the ball mid-high, and it didn't balloon. It definitely helped dispersion for me, it should be a nice fairway finder.

+1. Smoothness is often perceived as a "softer feel", but it maintains its flex very well. My X plays a little on the soft side (266 CPM), which works out perfectly for my 110 swing.

Don't know if this has been mentioned or if it helps, but the Black is one of the lowest torquing shafts with a mid to high launch. That's why I gamed mine for so long. I moved on to the ATTAS but the Black was a great shaft. To me it felt like it had an extremely stable tip, soft mid section, and a stiff butt section. Perfect fit for me.

Have the 79X in my Nike Dymo Str8-Fit, extremely happy with the smooth feel and non-ballooning flight. I'd say 7 of my 10 longest drives have been with this combo, dispersion has been better as well.
