Black Widow Tour Silk grips

I have these White badass's on my driver, 52 and 58 wedges and man are they nice, they feel good and even after about 15 rounds they are only starting to get to that "need to clean these soon" stage where they get mucky, so soft and great feeling. I love them, once my Tour Velvets on my irons are wearing thin i will probably regrip them with these

I was playing the Lamkin Performance Plus with 3gen in white most of the summer. I liked they way they felt except the size and weight. They felt like a midsize grip and weighed about as much. I pulled them an put the old stand by DD2's on. I'm building a set of Tour Preferred irons and plan on putting the black widow grips on (same ones that are pictured). I leave a short review after I finish the build and play them. I like the fact that there a little lighter (my scale put them at about 48 g) and they look to be more standard in size.

For anyone using these grips, did they get stiff and slick?

Just read a review on Golfsmith stating these grips may have a compound issue.

Just found this post, pretty old one... but that's exactly what I'm experiencing. I got these grips for next to nothing but now only a few months after installing them they are hard and slick...

I ended pulling mine off after about 10 rounds.

Switch to Pure grips, and never looked back.

My first set of these lasted me a very very long time, regripped to a new set of the same...about 8 rounds in after the last few weeks of decent weather and they went in the garbage. Went totally hard and slick, both installs were done by me, same tape and solvent used both times and put on the same clubs. Just seem to be some inconsistencies between batches or something. Back to the old trusty crosslines...

I picked these up at golfworks on sale for $0.99 each, and wasn't expecting much to be honest. However, after 20+ rounds I have zero complaints. No issues with getting slick and stiff at all.

They have continued to get firm and slippery for me, but giving them a quick cleaning with the twist of a dish towel or something similar around them brings them right back to life. Only takes about 10 minutes to do all my clubs every few weeks maybe. Eventually I'll regrip, I'm just cheap, that's why I got these in the first place. :-)

Just saw the thread. Found them a few months ago for .99 a grip and bought 30 of them. Play and/or practice at least 3 times a week and nothing but good things to say so far.

i like the edge from BW better than the silk

dicks has them for .99 now.

So these were $ 0.49 a grip and I ordered 40. I know they are smaller than a standard GP or lamkin. How many wraps should I put on? I was thinkin at least 2

boy those sure are small... feel like a womens grip or even a jr

I did a couple today. I used 3 wraps of masking tape under the double sided tape.
So technically I used a total of 4 wraps and it seems decent, more "normal." Next set I do I may use 5 wraps.
