Opinion on new cart bag

Wife wants my Christmas list and after lots of research, I've decided on either the Sun Mountain C130 or the Callaway Org 14 or 15. The Callaway's I can get at a special price through a friend. If anyone who owns/owned either of these bags can chime in on the features they love/hate and the features they wish the bag had, please comment. I'd go look at them in person, but no one within an hour of me has them so I need to hear some thoughts from you all. Thanks!

2015 C130 -- $229

ORG 14 -- $102

ORG 15 -- $112

C130...I have 3 of them, starting with 3 gens back, best cart bag there is.

Org 15, sounds like you can get a good deal, but last C130 I got half off during a PGA Tour SS sale so about same as you paid. I'm betting Discount Dans or other web sites can find for less than retail.

Yesterday, my 12 year old Bagboy finally hit the dust. While tossing it into the back of the car and one of the the "big" side zippers finally let go I was, it was the final straw.

Knowing the end of the Bagboys life was inevitable, I had been researching bags for the past few weeks.

I grabbed the Entertainment book coupon, and headed to Dick's on my way to the course.

There they had my Sun Mountain C130 in ugly orange. Just what I was looking for!! I plunked down my $20 coupon & old gift cards, saved another 10% by agreeing to open up a credit card and walked out with my new bag.

I switched as much golf stuff as I could from the old bag to the new bag while at the course. The stuff still hasn't settled into it's final cubbyholes, I just needed to tee off.

After 27 holes I can tell you, so far, this bag absolutely rocks! More than enough nice sized pockets, easy cart access to everything, Ive always been a fan of full length individual club dividers and these are about the roomiest I've dealt with. The putter well, and dual towel rings are perfect. As large as the bag is, it's very lightweight. The details that went into the engineering of this thing are obvious.

About the only thing it doesn't have (that I've noticed) is a tee holding device. Certainly not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice.

Later today I plan on do a more detailed club and gear switchover as I still haven't seen where the umbrella goes, but I have no doubt this bag will more than adequately replace my beloved Bagboy.

I have used a C-130 since March of last year and love the thing. 14-way top plus putter well and more pockets then one would need. The only issue that I have with it is that it can fall forward sometimes if you have the front loaded with a ton of balls. Looks as good as the day I bought it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new cart bag.

You mentioned the Callaway 14 I have the org 14s it is horrible it has dividers that catch I hate it all the time when you put it on a Clicgear cart the strap mechanism at the top that utighten squeezes it so tight that you cannot slide clubs in and out the threads are coming loose.
very disappointed, although it's not the exact same bag you're looking at I would avoid the Callaway the Sun Mountain has a much better rating:

I used a prior C-130 for easily 8 years. It still had some life in it but zippers were starting to show wear. I needed something sharper for my new clubs so I got the latest C-130. This bag is great!

Just swapped my 2013 Org 14 for this exact bag and couldn't be happier. The pockets are perfect for use on a cart and the quality is top notch. Well worth the extra cash.

Have anyone tried it on a push cart?

I use it on a Bag Boy Quad. It fits great, only thing I had to do was to adjust to front left wheel for more clearance due to my umbrella. Also, I ride also and I need to change how I arrange my clubs when I go back and forth between pushing and riding.

Hi can I ask u a question?
Very often bags I consider set up like yours look great in picture, that is if u ride a power cart all the time.
Based on depth & height of slots & design I would set it up just like u.
But... That set up on a popular clicgear cart that I push means that it tilts backwards and all those iron heads switch direction clanging into my driver etc.
Thoughts? Comments?

Hi, I don't have any experience with the clicgear cart but mikshan posted this earlier:
My C130 fits perfectly on my Clicgear 3.5. You might have to rearrange the clubs due to how the bag dividers are set up.

Ok. Thx. I'll look in store. I just have a bag already that makes sense that longer clubs fit into tallest slots but that means on my cart that iron heads bang into the driver. If I rearrange to not clang I'm putting long clubs in short slots and vice beta.

[/quote]This is where the Sun Mountain Hybrid bag comes in handy. Because it's designed as a stand bag, the slots and lengths work just as well on a Clicgear cart as on the ground. And on a riding cart, if you have the woods running top to bottom, all you have done is switch the side they are on because you have to reverse the bag to attach to a riding cart.

As an FYI, SM changed the name of the Hybrid bag for 2015. It's now called the C-130S stand bag. You might want to have a look if you use some type of a push cart. Good luck.
