TaylorMade R9
I currently play a R7 SuperQuad 9.5 stiff. I am am a mid-trajectory hitter and was curious if anyone knows about the Aldila Voodoo SV6? My swingspeed ranges from about 95-103 and I am interested in the voodoo but rumor is the R9 TP is stiffer and so is the voodoo shaft. With the above numbers I was wondering which shaft flex should I go with S or R?
I've tried the R9 in both stiff and regular. I have played stiff in drivers for many years with a swing speed in mid 90's. I thought the the R9 felt a little boardy to me in the stiff standard Motore shaft. So I tried the Regular Motore and found it to feel much like my current DVS stiff fitted Diablo only with lower ball flight. Which to me is perfect. I found both R9's to be more consistant than my Diablo draw but I preffered the regular shaft to the stiff for feel. I just ordered My 9.5 regular motore R9 yesterday.

I am playing a TP 9.5 and i am trying to lower the loft. I have am going to set it to R with the 16g weight in the toe. I am hoping this will give me a lower ball flight and since the grip is universal with no markings i figure i can just set the face back to N with my grip and hopefully play with lower ball flight? Any comments?

I have put my review on a few drivers on this site. I told myself I would not put anymore on here. I have had driver problems now for almost a year. It has gotten to the point I was going to quit playing. I decided to take a break and have been working on my tempo. Anyways I decided that I wanted a driver I could change shafts and adjust. I tried the I-mix Ft5 and it was really good. However I always wanted to try the R9 and the added adjustments really did appeal to me. I have always been a in-between to x flex swing speed type of person. So the ability to get the right shaft was the seller for me between the two clubs mentioned. Being lefty no super store has what I need to buy or even try for a demo. SO I picked up an Ft5 and an R9 on ebay. The R9 adjustablility is awsome. I went to the range today for the second time with it and tried adjustments and it was night and day with the ball flight. For someone like me that needs to have the specs right I feel this R9 will be a winner for me. I have already ordered the 3 wood and hybrid so I can adjust them. For years I have adjusted my swing to fit the clubs I had. No longer. I have hit just about every club available to lefties, some were really good, I just didn't want to mess with buying and trying shafts. WIth the R9 I have all the adjustments I need to dial it in without being disappointed with yet another trip to the local golf shops with no lefty selections. I am keeping the R9 and will just try a different shaft here and there. But the one I got in it is not bad at all. I also love teh face angle adjustments and unlimited options. For these reasons I choose the R9 over the FT-5 imix. The imix is going on ebay.
NOTE: although I play all Taylormade clubs I have never hit a Taylormade Driver I have liked, until now. I have tried them but never had sucess with them. I have played Titleist and Callway drivers only for the last 15 years.

I played with an R9 425 TP for about a year and a half and I loved it when I didn't know any better. I always thought I was short knocker, but it turns out the R9 425 just doesn't go anywhere. It does go very straight. I hit it short and in every fairway. So for fairways it is great, I hit my Burner Superfast TP about 15 yards longer. That helps.

i picked up one used with the aldila green nv shaft in r flex. took me a while to dial in the adjustments but have it set now. producing a left to right flight with very high trajactory. think bruce litzkie and you get the picture. this club is sneaky long. you dont think you really caught it all till you see where it ends up. another winner from the recent pass from taylormade
