Ernest Sports ES16

Anyone have some good experience with the ES16 and can share some more info? I think they are currently $5400 and if it gives all the same data as the more expensive GC Quad, FlightScope X3 or Trackman, I'd definitely be interested. Seems like it was fill a niche between the super high end and junk drawer of $200 products that linger.

 

I haven't seen much data comparing the real numbers to GC2/Trackman/Flightscope. You do have to input what club you're using for the camera, which is a little disappointing considering the price point. In theory it's really good, the best of the GC2, a really accurate high speed camera for spin and ball data as well as a radar unit to track it full flight.

Has anyone made the purchase of the ES16 if so how does it compare to its competitors?

I have an ES 16 and it works well...I just don't use it that much anymore because I lost access to my net/backyard range. [about to put ad in classifieds] I have had some small issues with the sun setting in certain light where it bugs out, but it's rare. The software is good for seeing shots and all your data, but to fit and compare clubs with an iPad is a bit clunky. Picks up ball speed and spin without the use of stickers. My "range" is 15' long, and I've used ES 16 with wedges and moved it even closer and seems to work fine.
