Where to stay near Red Sky Ranch ?

Planning a trip from Denver to play RSR both courses as well as Ironbridge and looking for somewhere reasonable to stay in the area overnight away from the resort. I usually stay in a basic place so not looking for any kind of luxury. And I guess the other question is will RSR let you play if you are a drop in??

I believe Red Sky Ranch requires you stay at a Vail property; any of the many many hotels and properties owned by the resort group.

 

Then I play my golf at Ironbridge - if you want to stay in the Glenwood Area there are a bunch of hotels and motels that serve as a place to rest your head after golf, but I'd recommend the Hotel Denver as it's right in the area of town with a lot of the restaurants and bars, etc.

 

Let me know when you're going to play Ironbridge; if I'm around I'd love to join ya and as a season pass holder I can get a guest rate that is better than the rack rate.

I know this is an old thread but RSR requires you to stay at a Vail Resorts property. If you work in golf then you may be able to call and explain your story and possibly get on, I have played with a few high school coaches who asked and were granted. Each course is based off of even and odd days, odd day membership is on the Norman course. I think Fazio is a better track, fair and not misleading. Norman punishes great shots with balls that don't stop moving for 20 seconds after they hit the ground.

I think the western most Vail Resort properties are at Beaver Creek but I could be wrong. That is where I have always stayed when playing RSR (which I love)
