Callaway tour adapter? Anyone have experience with this???

So i picked up a couple shafts basically just to tinker and ordered the Callaway advance adapter the tour strong and tour flat. Picked up on tour ad VR 6x and fujikura motore F1. Just want some feedback on the adapters and how anyone liked them. Also does the tour strong open up the face alot dropping the loft down 2*? I typically like a open face driver profile. I just placed the order for the adapters today so not in hand yet. Any feedback would be great.

Thanks in advance

Yes, I have experience with the Green, White and Red dot adaptors along with the standard ones.

Green has a -2 marking, the face certainly sits open when this setting is chosen. I haven’t measured the face angle in this setting but for my own driver it sets up around 4 degrees open in this setting.

The red dot adaptor is .75 degrees flatter in lie angle for all settings, other settings for face angle/loft are not altered.

The white dot adaptor is considerably more upright, basically think of it as a green dot adaptor but where the extra bias is set up for a more upright lie than a lower loft/more open face.

Hope this helps!

The face isn't actually open if you (like most people do) address the ball with a square clubface.  This video explains it.  You can either alter the loft and lie OR the face angle.  Not both.  If the driver is set in the stated loft setting with a square face (face aimed directly at the target) it will have the stated loft (let's say 9 degrees) and a 0 degree face angle.

If you adjust it to the -1 setting it will be at 8 degree if addressed with the face directly at the target (0 degree face angle).

Tom Wishon has a good video about this as well.

The relationship between the loft adjustment and the face angle change is a fixed geometric relationship.  It's the same for all adapters of all OEM and has nothing to do with the adapter design.  It's even the same if you find a driver/wood with a bendable hosel and use that method to change the "loft".

A 2* "loft" adjustment will always mean a 3.6* face angle change.

But that's a relative change.  The only difference between different head models is what the face angle might be at the 0* loft setting before adjusting.

@Stuart_G Do you know if there is a "tour strong/-2 degrees" adapter out there for current gen Callaway fairway woods?
