ok I was cleaning out my desk...and I came upon this scorecard. Totally forgot about it. John Starks (I'm a diehard Knick fan) played the course I was working at in an outting. I did the scoring haha. So after the dinner and awards he came in to purchase some clothes and what not. I asked him to sign his scorecard for me and he obliged. Great guy and a great memory for a Jersey kid / Knicks fan.

We had an NFL player show up and play our course this week and reportably shot even par from the tips. Pretty good play in dormant conditions.

John Starks getting pimp slapped by Hakeem is one of the greatest moments of my life. The look on his face was priceless. That was the same week that even as a child I developed a deep seeded hate for that hack of a sportswriter Wallace Matthews. He's a jealous hater, he really is, he's jealous that Houston has the best strip clubs around.

Yup he wrote that one, noting all of Houston's high class strip clubs. He also had that short run show with Jim Rome.

First off, GREAT avatar. That Chad juke is one of the best Jet plays of the last few years.

 

Next, I'm a Starks fan too. THe good old days of the Knicks, for me anyway. The guys goes from bagging groceries to 'The Dunk' over Pippen and Jordan a few years later.

 

Wild Turkey is my second favorite course up there. Ballyowen is obviously the best, but Turkey's good, except for that second hole. Just a bizarre layout.

NICE!!! I am a big Knicks fan and loved watching Starks hit those jumpers at the end of games. Too bad Ewing can't make a simple finger roll. ;)

Someone mentioned Patrick Ewing, when he became a Rockets Assistant Coach my old boss and I sent him 200 strip club passes. He sent us a very nice note thinking him for the gesture.

Yeah, nothing like getting loaded up on Jaeger and running your mouth for two hours. Blazers won....I felt I contributed. Was SURE I would end up on Sportscenter for my efforts.

 

Felt like Spike Lee.....only less, much less wealthy.
