+1 on swooping that bucket that some doad just left. Another trick is pulling out the beat up and shite balls and hitting them first with wedges. Sucks to hits nice drive only to see that white ball take a nose dive outta the sky like a ping pong ball at a Taiwanese table tennis match!

The "Shag Bag". Wow! Does this bring back memories. I still have mine from when I was a junior. I lived on a farm and had a great place to hit balls. One day my dad came to me with the shag bag and I asked "what is this"? He told me "a shag bag" and I asked "what's it for". Told me "use it to go pick up the balls". He was sick and tired of running over balls with the equipment and when he was cutting the pasture you could hear the clanking of balls getting cut up. So it was, I was able to collect my shots and hit again. When I became older the local course had a hole that was taken out of play. Use to be able to hit all day with very few people around and had a practice green for putting and chipping. Unfortunately they took the hole away when the range was built.

I'll get free full buckets and half full buckets all the time at my range, espcially in the early spring. People get large buckets their first time out for the season and either get discouraged or sore real quick. They just walk over and hand em to me. This usually happens about once or twice every time I visit in the early spring.
